Uranus is the third largest planet in our Solar System. Uranus has nine major rings and 27 known moons. This image, taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in infrared reveals cloud structures not normally visible. Methane gas in the upper atmosphere absorbs red light, giving the planet its blue-green color. Uranus is spinning on its side, probably because of a collision with a large object early in the Solar System's history.

Inside the Gas Giant! Jupiter is the largest planet in Earth’s solar system and has 63 moons encircling it. The planet is a giant ball of gas and liquid.

Jupiter. Jupiter is a large planet (it is 318 times the mass of our planet, Earth) but it is not big enough to be considered a star. To be a star, Jupiter would need more than 70 times its current mass. This planet is the fastest spinning planet in our solar system (it takes about 10 hours to complete a full rotation on its axis) and it has a strong magentic field (14 times stronger than Earth's).

Mass one-thousandth that of the Sun but is two and a half times the mass of all the other planets in our Solar System combined. Jupiter is classified as a gas giant along with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Saturn Aurora as seen from Hubble

Have you ever seen the Southern or Northern Lights? Earth isn't the only planet that puts on these beautiful light shows, which are also called the "aurora". Aurora have been seen at both poles of Saturn, too, as well as at the poles of Jupiter.

15 Things You Don't Know About Outer Space (Infographic). The Saturn one is not strictly true, even if there were a water body large enough for a planet to float in. Let's just say that Saturn's overall density is less than that of liquid water on Earth.

Jupiter......not really a planet, but instead a Sun in the making. This hot gas giant has planets that orbit it (currently mislabeled as primary moons) & some of those planets have their own moons (labeled as secondary moons)......who knows how long before it kicks into gear & ignites. ......tick tick tick....

Ruling Planet--Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, and the fifth furthest from the sun.

At about 89,000 miles in diameter, Jupiter could swallow 1,000 Earths. It is the largest planet in the solar system and perhaps the most majestic.

Jupiter is probably the best place in the solar system to study how the magnetic fields of planets are generated. The Juno spacecraft will arrive at the Jovian system in July 2016, then circle the planet and collect data for more than one Earth year.
