The leaves have started to change here in Rutland County but we still have a few more weeks to go before we are at the peak of leaf season. Since the leaves change colors to the north of us first, now is the perfect time to head toward Lake Champlain, Vermont. Lake Champlain Ferries: Burlington, Vermont to Port Kent, New York. Since it’s founding in 1826, Lake Champlain Transportation Company ferries have been navigating the waters of Lake Champlain. Today modern ferries are an integral part of the lake and they are a welcome sight for both commuters and visitors.
