Trans-Siberian Railway, Russia - The Trans-Siberian Railway with its impressive 9.289 km (5.772 mile) length is the longest railway in the world. It connects Moscow with the Russian Far East, Vladivostok passing through a whole continent plus there are connecting lines into Mongolia, China and North Korea. The endless route passes by the largest lake on Earth, the Lake Baikal.
Frozen Lake Baikal that created a very interesting line work on its ice, it has cracks that does not connect or overshadow but forms a full circle. This line work will be explored in my embroidery sample
In March, Siberia's Lake Baikal is particularly amazing to photograph. The temperature, wind and sun cause the ice crust to crack and form beautiful turquoise blocks or ice hummocks on the lake’s surface. //So pretty EL//
