The property is a large double fronted Victorian house, based in Streatham Common, South West London. It has recently been restored and renovated to a beautiful standard, keeping in mind the period in which it was built. It showcases many original period features such as the large detailed ceiling roses and open fireplaces in both reception rooms. It also offers a unique ravaged, industrial feel in some parts of the house.
This open plan kitchen design is both modern and in keeping with the original style of it's host property. Folding sliding doors allow both wings to be opened onto the garden entirely whilst filling the rooms with light. The large skylight situated within the roof of the orangery also provides more natural light giving the entire structure an open, calm atmosphere. What I'm thinking.....Single storey rear extension? this is a great example of how you can use your space. Seperate your kitchen area, but still keep it "open plan" for informal feeling with space for zoning of dining area. large velux windows and floor to ceiling concertina doors brings the outdoors in for those breezy summer days :) Simple. Love.
