KAY FRANCIS ~ Born: Jan 13, 1905 in Oklahoma City. Died: Aug 26, 1968 (aged 63) from cancer. After a brief period on Broadway in the late 1920s, she moved to film. Started w/ a bit part in "The Cocoanuts" (1929) w/ the Marx Brothers. Appeared in "Trouble in Paradise" (1932) followed by "One Way Passage" (1932). Had major hits w/ "I Found Stella Parish" & "Confession" (1937). Her final film was "Shadow of Blackmail" (1946) before retiring permanently in 1952.
