Modernist Anthony Angarola (1893-1929) was an American painter, printmaker, and art instructor who, like many of his peers graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and taught drawing, in his case at the art institutes in Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City and Minneapolis. As an Italian immigrant, his work focused on the immigrant experience.
