The Duke's last movie. A perfect ending to a great career. Makes grown men cry.

The Shootist (1976)

Duke. My least favorite movie because even tho I LOVE Bruce Dern, I HATE his character. I HATE all bullies. He rocked it tho, I'll give him that. On the set, before the scene Duke and Dern were sitting together and Duke leaned in to Dern and said, "Oooo, they're gona Hate you for this." And he's right.

My favorite John Wayne movie. Those little boys taking that big herd of cattle to Kansas still brings tears to my eyes. They were trying to hard to be men. Loved the Duke in this!
