Basket-Hilted Highland Broadsword with Jacobite Inscriptions. Forged and Engraved Iron & Steel. Circa Early-18th Century. 31" (78.7cm). Engraved on one side with the Figure of St. Andrew and Inscribed "Prosperity to Schotland and No Union", and on the other side, a Crown & Sceptre on a Cushion with a Laurelled Portrait of King James above and Inscribed "God Save King James the 8". Provenance: John Campbell, 1st Earl of Breadalbane, Perthshire - The Battle of Sheriffmuir, 1715.
