He chose me, John 15:16

John "You have not chosen me: but I have chosen you; and have appointed you, that you should go and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

"It was not you who chose me, says the Lord, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last." (John 15:16)...

John American Standard Bible (NASB) 16 You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

John the quote I opened the bible on in the chapel after Dad's remembrance service at the Hospice. I had pruned Dad's grapevine and was worried I had done it wrong. Reading this made me feel a lot happier!

This is one of my (many, many) favorite verses, along with all of chapter 15 in John. Such a great reminder to sit at the feet of Jesus and be still. Only then can he fill us up with his very self and live in us and use us for his glory throughout the day, every day. Purchase this as a reminder to yourself, or encouragement for a friend or loved one.

John Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
