Musician Willie Nelson is joined by former First Lady Rosalynn Carter and former President Jimmy Carter at the taping of 'CMT Homecoming: Jimmy Carter in Plains,' which will premiere on CMT in December 2004.
"I could have been very popular, I think, if I had launched a military attack on Iran. But my decision was to be patient, and to negotiate, and ultimately my goal was to preserve the integrity of my country. Although I lost the election, maybe partially because of that, every hostage did come home safe and free. And we didn't kill innocent people in Iran."
