Though the original Hulk series was something of a flop, canceled after only six issues, this first issue by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby still sets the template for the character for the past half century. Bruce Banner, Rick Jones, General “Thunderbolt” Ross, and Betty Ross all make their debut in this issue, along with the far less iconic Gargoyle.
