You can't tell if a turkey is done just by looking at it. Have your thermometer handy and follow Meat Church BBQ pitmaster Matt Pittman's guidelines for testing the internal temp. #turkeycue

Thanksgiving Meatloaf from Allrecipes. I followed reviewer suggestions and stayed away from this recipe. Instead - 1 lb ground turkey, 2c Pepp. Farm seasoned stuffing (with onion, 3 stalks celery and mushroom diced and sauteed in it plus 2/3 cup chick broth). Mixed whole lot together with 2 eggs, garlic/onion salt, parsley, thyme, salt and pepper. Formed into loaf, topped with 1c hydrated stuffing and baked at 350 to correct internal temp. Absolutely delicious!

Practice turkey = done. Adding in some turkey day tips after a good question in the comments! For a juicy and browned bird, brine it overnight in the fridge the day before and add fresh or dried herbs to the brine for more flavor. I usually start high-ish at 425 for the first 30, then reduce heat to 375 and roast until internal temp reaches 165. BUT, once it is the right hue of golden brown, I take it out, tent the whole thing in tin foil (making sure it doesn't touch the skin of the bird)…
