Little Miss Sunshine-watched with Clearplay-I don't think I laughed once during this movie. I love dark and dry comedies (such as Wes Anderson, obviously) but this wasn't even close to funny, or quirky, or anything, really. Just disturbing and so, so, so crude. A very emotionless, empty film. 4 out of 10 stars.
Kevin's mother struggles to love her strange child, despite the increasingly vicious things he says and does as he grows up. But Kevin is just getting started, and his final act will be beyond anything anyone imagined.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)--This was more charming as a book. And it's one of those books, and will probably be the same as a movie, which doesn't age well. Read it/watch it when you're 15 and it'll no doubt mean a lot more. A cute movie, especially if you enjoyed the book or are a teenage misfit who thinks of yourself as more intelligent and cultured than your peers.
