*sparkles fabulously* Also, when ya gonna get on a new KId Icarus game, Nintendo? Uprising was too good to be a one shot... I mean, it wasn't a one shot... But it was the only game in its franchise like it And it was the only one within the past 10 years It saved Kid Icarus from obscurity You can't just make that masterpiece and then leave the franchise alone to wither away Come on Nintendo I believe in you ...how about Kid Icarus on the Switch? Yeah? Yeah?
This screenshot from Kid Icarus: Uprising features Pit fighting "Komaytos", which are indeed meant to serve as an allusion to the Metroid series - makes even more sense when considering that the first two Kid Icarus games run on the same game engine as the Metroid games on their respective systems. In Kid Icarus: Uprising, they even do the same thing - latching onto Pit and sucking away his life energy on contact. They can only be killed by melee attacks.
