Metabolic waste is a substance produced by the body that is useless to the body or produced in excess to the body's needs. Nitrogenous wastes are among the most toxic of the human's metabolic wastes, such as urea, which is a by-product of catabolism. Excretion is the process of eliminating these wastes through the respiratory, integumentary, digestive, and urinary systems.
