ANC BLUE OFF-DUTY DRESS | Nurses were required to be in uniform at all times. The design of the white hospital uniform was modified for this dress. It had 2 breast pockets with imitation flaps in lieu of patch pockets on the hips. The skirt was cut in 6 gores without snap fasteners, the sleeves were long-gathered into a straight open cuff finished at the top with maroon braid. The shoulder loops were piped in maroon. Gilt Army buttons were used and the belt was closed with 1 button.
