"What was it like being homeless?" I asked. "I was cold a lot. I didn't have shoes for a couple months." "Which months?" "December through march."  "Wow." "Yeah, you don't realize how nice shoes are until you don't have them."

Homelessness has increased by a fifth in the last four years. Policies like the bedroom tax and cuts to welfare benefits have not only exacerbated homelessness but have stretched local authority resources in their efforts to rehouse these people.

More and more people are loosing their jobs in America.  Be kind to those less fortunate.

Everyday we walk or drive past homeless on the streets. This is an example of poverty and social stratification in our own country. Most homeless are in a constant cycle of poverty, and are not afforded the opportunity to progress by the elite class.

Global stratification can vary in types of people and in different countries around the world. Some call it slums while we call it poverty it's all the same and that number is growing every year.

Our furbabies don't need us to have a lot of money, or nice things, or even a home-they care about love, unconditional love. And their loyal unconditional love will be with you no matter what you go through.

Being homeless is illegal in so many cities that you can't legally sleep anywhere at night.  Yet, the cities refuse to provide adequate shelter.  If it weren't for charities, nothing would be done.  I know a man who brings his RV every Saturday to a church so that the 40 plus homeless folks in the area can take a shower and get new socks and underwear.  God Bless Frank.

Why do we call them "homeless" people? People don't refer to me as a "house" person and we don't call people "condo" or "apartment" people. We focus so much I'm the "homeless" part that we forget the "people" part. Passing By the homeless without a care.
