Yes to this, but at the same time, we shouldn't need the idea of reciprocity in order to help others. Are you okay with being the kind of person who sits and does nothing while other people are suffering? Are you okay with benefitting from their suffering? Is that the kind of person you want to be? No? Then maybe you should fight for the oppressed. Use your voice and your privilege to help others.
STOP LABELING FELLOW AMERICANS AS THE ENEMY! YOUR COMPLIANCE WITH THE DIVIDE AND CONQUOR STRATEGY IS NOT AN ACT OF PATRIOTISM. CALLING FELLOW CITIZENS ENEMIES IS HATE SPEECH AND THAT'S WHERE THIS STARTS! REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL AFFILIATION OR LACK THEREOF WE ARE ALL AMERICAN!! DISAGREEING POLITICALLY DOESN'T MAKE SOMEONE AN ENEMY. OUR ANCESTORS FOUGHT AND WORKED HARD TO PUT LEGISLATION IN PLACE TO NEGOTIATE AND PREVENT WAR.
Annelies Marie Frank (12 June 1929 – February or March 1945) was a German-born diarist and writer. She is one of the most discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Her diary, The Diary of a Young Girl, which documents her life in hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II, is one of the world's most widely known books.
If we held a moment of silence for every victim of the Holocaust we would be silent for eleven and a half years. Tonight as Yom Hashoah begins, we remember the six million lives who were stolen from the Jewish people during the Nazi regime. Never Again!
