The Little Old Lady (Mary Anne Campigli) Vs. Camberwell Car-park circa early 1980s. Compulsorily acquired by Camberwell Council in 1971 for a car-park expansion, Mary lived in her small weatherboard house for over 20 years and refused to move. Camberwell Council lost the case against Mary in 1974 with the supreme court ruling in her favour. The house remained until her passing 1991.
