British Cruiser HMS Warrior. Warrior fought at the Battle of Jutland on 31st May 1916 in Admiral Arbuthnot’s 1st Cruiser Squadron. Warrior sank during 1st June 1916 due to damage she had suffered during the battle.
HMS Warrior (R31) - 1944. was a Colossus-class light aircraft carrier which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1946 to 1948 (as HMCS Warrior), the Royal Navy from 1948 to 1958, and the Argentine Navy from 1959 to 1969 as ARA Independencia.
HMS Warrior, 1860 - Oil on canvas 24” x 37” 1997 Commissioned by the Captain of the ship. This painting shows HMS Warrior leaving Portsmouth Harbour on her first commission in 1861. She was built as Britain’s first ironclad battleship to counter the perceived threat of the French battleship ‘Gloire’. HMS Warrior never fired a shot in anger and she can now be seen in her berth in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
