Henry Moore - Have been in awe of his sculptures and drawings since childhood. Wish my brother and I had purchased a Moore print on offer at the London Regional Art Gallery in the early 80s when we both had little money. Love Moore's drawings of sheep, especially. The inspiration he found in weathered pieces of rock and his ability to create sculptures that look natural and created from nature herself is captivating.

'"The artist hand" Henry Moore Henry Moore's subject is the aged body. He made these drawings of his own hands when he was eighty-one and suffering from ill-health. 'Hands can convey so much' he said, 'they can beg or refuse, take or give, be open or clenched, show content or anxiety. They can be young or old, beautiful or deformed'.'
