The Magdalen Asylum Co. Cork., Ireland (See the skulls in the stairs?) Magdalene asylums were institutions from the 18th to the late-20th centuries ostensibly for "fallen women", a term used to imply sexual promiscuity. The first asylum in Ireland opened on Leeson Street in Dublin in 1765, founded by the Protestant Lady Arabella Denny.
High Force falls, Durham Found on the River Tees, High Force stands at 71ft tall and can be easily reached from the nearby Bowlees Visitor Centre, near Middleton-in-Teesdale. The Pennine Way National Trail passes the falls on its 268-mile journey across Northern England.
