This is Edwin Baker and his youngest son George. Until 1896 when he emigrated to America, he was Hailshams main photographer. The majority of the street scenes we have of this period are down to him. He was extremely well thought of and when he left the town the Hailsham residents clubbed together and presented him with an album with signatures etc of his old friends and acquaintances.
