Hadley Richardson, The Paris Wife...Hemingway's first wife & the one love of his life.

The true love story of an reclusive older woman and a beautiful young writer, Ernest Hemingway. Living in a cold Paris flat, skiing and fishing and loving, their story fueled his talent long after the love story ended.

Hadley Hemmingway (Ernest's first wife)

Hadley Richardson - was Ernest Hemingway's first wife. They were together in Paris during the period covered by Hemingway's "A Movable Feast.

Not a fan of Hemingway's writing. But I enjoyed this book. It is a very interesting story about a marriage (Hadley Richardson was wife #1 out of four) and the Lost Generation of Americans who became expatriates in Paris during the 1920's. Doing a little research after I finished the book, I discovered that Hemingway's "A Moveable Feast" is an autobiography of the time he spent in Europe married to Hadley. I plan on reading that in the very near future.
