At 16 years young, US Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas made history this Summer when she became the first African-American woman to win the all-around gymnastics gold medal at the Olympics. Now with the help of Michelle Burford, she's written a memoir on her experience titled Grace, Gold, & Glory: My Leap of Faith.
BOOK REVIEW: Letters to a Young Gymnast by Nadia Comaneci - This is a lovely story of an extremely talented, determined, courageous and resilient Olympic athlete. It is a great read that I would recommend to gymnasts, parents of athletes, anyone interested in gymnastics and sports in general, and to those looking for an inspirational true story.
