Recipe for the best spiked hot chocolate: (serves 5) - 1 1/2 cups of Guittard chocolate chips - 4 cups of milk (2% or less) - 1/2 cup cream - 2 shots of Frangelico - 1 shot of your favorite vodka - 1 tbs. of vanilla. Mix all liquids in a sauce pan on med-low. Add chocolate. Stir until all chocolate is melted. Put in individual glass with whipped cream and chocolate dusting.
Made this for New Year's Eve. Although it was delicious and not overly sweet, your cake will not be that pink unless you use food dye. I used 1/2 a cup of cranberry puree and it still turned white. Frosting is to die for.
