For all its aggressiveness, the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante concept by Alex Imnadze also has a delicate femininity to it. Makes perfect sense considering its flowing form was inspired by the natural curves of a woman’s body!
Luthier Joh Lang makes his Langcaster guitar bodies from Swamp Kauri, a preserved New Zealand wood carbon-dated to be 35,000 years old. Kauri wood is typically found by farmers digging up fields. Lang leaves the bodies unpainted to show the extremes of the grain.
Jack White - Very rare 1957 Gretsch White Penguin. One of the rarest guitars in the world, it can be seen in the video for the song “Icky Thump.” For the Raconteurs, he designed a Gretsch clone, which he has dubbed the “Triple Jet”. It is a double-cutaway Duo Jet with a pickup booster, and features a solid copper top. It also has a Gretsch logo that was only used on a few guitars in 1912. It is not a factory Grestch, as it was built by luthier Randy Parsons of Seattle.
Electric guitar tattoo on the arm. The electric guitar is seen to have its cord plugged in presuming it is connected to an amp to make it sound even better. The light shading on the guitar also does wonders to the soft vibe of the design.
