Gregorio del Pilar
General Gregorio del Pilar (third from left) headed the four-member Filipino peace commission who tried but failed to negotiate an armistice with U.S. First Philippine Commission (Schurman Commission) at Malate district, Manila in 1899.
Contrary to popular belief, Gregorio del Pilar was not the youngest general of the Philippine Revolutionary Army. The distinction belongs to Manuel Tinio, known by his Katipunan pseudonym Magiting.
