Gordon Lightfoot - Canadian Songwriter and Musician

For lovin' me. Gordon Lightfoot (1967). I love this song 'cause the guy is such an a-hole. I tried for years and gears to get my guitar to sound like Lightfoot's then I saw a video and realized that not only was he cheating by playing a 12 string, he also had two--count 'em, two--backup guitars.

So many of the really important events in my life seem to have a soundtrack by Gordon Lightfoot. The loss of a child, repairing a failing marriage, singing his songs to my Grandchildren as a lullaby. He is so important in my life. I will always be able to say I was lucky enough to see him once. Thanks Gord!
