Richard Samuel Attenborough, Baron Attenborough, CBE (1923–2014) was an actor, film director & producer, entrepreneur, President of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). As a director & producer, he won 2 Academy Awards for Gandhi in 1983; 4 BAFTA Awards & 4 Golden Globe Awards. As an actor, he is known for his roles in Brighton Rock, The Great Escape, 10 Rillington Place, Miracle on 34th Street and Jurassic Park.

He won three Golden Globes: The first time for the TV series "Mission Impossible" in 1968, then as Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for "Tucker: The Man and His Dream" in 1989 and finally as Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for "Ed Wood" in 1995. He never retired from acting and just completed the film "Without Ward". Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
