A poignant Georgian period clear glass block seal Above the image of a slave bound in chains and kneeling in supplication. The text around him reads: 'Am I not a man, and a brother?' The image & text designed by Josiah Wedgwood in 1787 {Of Wedgewood Pottery fame} This famously became the banner image & text for the abolitionist or anti-slavery movement.
