Horse's Skull With White Rose, by Georgia O'Keeffe. I find this piece eloquent and oddly peaceful and bought the print when I was at the museum in Santa Fe in 2008.

Georgia O'Keefe. Interview. In her own voice. Slightly dated, but still a really nice insight into her work and life.

Georgia Totto O'Keeffe (November 15, 1887 – March 6, 1986) was an American artist. Born near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, O'Keeffe first came to the attention of the New York art community in 1916, several decades before women had gained access to art training in America’s colleges and universities. "I know now that most people are so closely concerned with themselves that they are not aware of their own individuality, I can see myself, and it has helped me to say what I want to say in paint."
