I enjoy Karen's cooking classes. Good food, good company, and the recipes are quite reproduceable. Note that most are actually demos rather than a "hands-on" class. The Biscotti Bliss was a class and we each received about 3 dozen biscotti from the recipes produced. Yum!

This recipe was an entrant in the very first Gilroy Garlic Festival in 1979. This annual festival includes a cooking contest, which has been the basis for several best-selling cookbooks.  The original recipe calls for whole fish, but I just use enough fillets to suit my needs. Use your preferred firm fish. I used Tilapia.  Beyond simple to prepare, this is a truly delicious dish, and the aroma while cooking will knock your socks off!

Buttered sprouts with chestnuts & bacon - quartered the recipe for xmas lunch. Shredded the sprouts (the kids prefer them that way). Nice  but I think it could have done with some garlic and a higher proportion of bacon and nuts
