Chickpea flour pancakes - surprisingly good! I actually poured the batter into our waffle maker and the results were fantastic. These are filling but not dense. They have a mild earthy taste, but if that bothers you it is easily covered by butter and pure maple syrup. We also added sliced bananas as a topping. Really so good.
Chickpea Flour Pizza: yeast free! just chickpea flour, salt and water. Makes a batter that you cook stove top on a cast iron skillet with olive oil. Once crisp, add toppings and transfer to oven under broiler for a few minutes.
Chorizo & chickpea stew | BBC Good Food - so many variations of this scrumptious dish. It works well with other pulses too, but chickpeas (garbanzo beans) add a lovely clean nutty taste that balances out the smokiness of the chorizo. I know autumn is here when I start cooking this dish - it makes me think of frosty mornings, bonfires and cosy nights indoors!
