"Waves of violence", part of a set of photos in the "1914-1918" series taken at BELMAL in 2014. Same trunk as in "Scars" and "Skindeep". It belonged to a French countess (M. de R.). She bought the Delvaux trunk in 1907. A year later, and still living in Brussels, she married a French count (A. C. de B.). They were to have five children. The youngest one, born in 1925, currently resides in the Béarn (her father's native region).
