Bacon Ranch Foil Packet Potatoes - One of my favorite things (of, admittedly, many) to cook on the grill is potatoes in a foil packet. The packets themselves are so easy to put together, and the flavor of the end product really is amazing.
Bacon Cheese Potatoes (Slow Cooked) ¼ pound bacon, diced 2 medium onions, thinly sliced 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced ½ pound cheddar salt and pepper butter Green Onions Layer half bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese in crockpot. Season to taste and dot with butter. Repeat layers Cover with foil. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours.
I went through a phase in my grilling education where I was convinced that you could cook almost anything in a foil packet. I've since moved on to other grilling obsessions, but potatoes have stayed firmly in their foil packets. Potatoes are quite possibly the perfect foil packet food, turning slightly crispy on the edges and tender on the inside. Adding a layer of melted cheese to these grilled potatoes near the end makes them irresistible!
