Factorising polynomials with a coefficient of x^2 and no HCF. This is an alternative to using the grid method and is also the way I use but laid out nicely so students can follow. I think I prefer it because the grid method is a bit of a magic box in that it is not clear why it works and I think it's really important to avoid that.
