Caesar, Crassus, and Pompey formed the first triumvirate but then collapsed due to Caesar's success as a general, Crassus' death, and Pompey being jealous but married to Caesar's daughter.

The First Triumvirate started in 60 BC when Caesar reconciled the feuding Crassus and Pompey.
