Glum facial expressions are a big part of the indie genre. Most images, like this one, have moody faces which add to the alternative feel of the image. I would like to take and use a picture like this on my magazine pages as a lot of focus is on the model and her expressions. This is a perfect example of something I would expect to see in an indie magazine

This is because Patria's character was idealistic, with the desire to devote her life to the Lord. However, the author shows Patria's struggle for identity through her contradictions. For example, Patria was turned between being a nun and being with a man.
