Student Leadership Bulletin Board Idea (picture only). The three photos at the top are of young people around the same age as students in middle school as examples of leadership such as 14 year old pilot, 11 year old entreprenuer, etc. The black spaces are for students who show leadership with spaces below to write examples. The larger are for Student of the Month for each class. Printed on silver gift wrap paper (set printer to glossy setting)
Educational Leadership - March 2011 - Page 66-67. An oldie but a goodie. I prefer the notion of success criteria to rubrics as success criteria allow students limitless open ended avenues for thinking and application. I endorse the importance of writing the learning intention up, referring to it throughout the lesson and using it as the basis of the exit ticket.
