The Children Act Child Matters places a duty on school/colleges to safeguard and promote the well being of pupil. Five outcomes are stay safe,be healthy,enjoy life,make a positive contribution and help to achieve a stable future.
1.3 - Every child matters provides five national outcomes, this information provides the goals that every child should look to achieve. The goals are to be healthy, to stay safe, make a positive contribution, enjoy and achieve and to achieve economic well being. As being part of a school, the school has a responsibility to make these guidelines a part of school. Some schools include these five outcomes in lessons like CPHSE or PHSE. Every Child Matters is looked at nationally and locally.
