Eurasian Lynx  (Lynx lynx) is a medium-sized cat native to European and Siberian forests, Central Asia and East Asia. It is also known as the European lynx, common lynx, the northern lynx, and the Siberian or Russian lynx.

LYNX....four species of lynx: Iberian, Canadian, Eurasian lynx and the North American Bobcat.....live in Europe, Asia and North America in northern forested areas...average 2.5 - 3.5 feet long with a 4 to 8 inch tail....weigh 22 to 44 pounds....has short or bobbed tail and tufted ears....able to detect a mouse from a distance of 250 feet...has critically endangered subspecies: Iberian (under 200) and Eurasian/Balkan (under 50)
