For Great Britain’s track cycling team, the gilded procession rolls on. Yesterday evening in the Olympic velodrome, it was the turn of the women to win the team’s third gold medal. And minutes later, Becky James added a silver in the Keirin. The GB women’s pursuit team — Katie Archibald, Laura Trott, Elinor Barker and Joanna Rowsell-Shand — stormed to victory in the final, shattering the world record and beating the United States by more than two seconds.

Team GB head the medals table at the end of a hugely successful Championship for the British team - a brace each of Gold, Silver, & Bronze medals making up the final count of 6.
