I normally like to have 1-2 inches of stem, but I was only able to save the very top cluster because of root rot. .  2. Place the beheaded succulent in an empty pot and place it somewhere shady. .  3. After 3-5 days, check the stem. Touch it and make sure it's completely dry and healed. (My echeveria looks rough…
