Summer is the best time for a trip to a drive-in movie theater. Visit the Beacon Drive-In Theater in Guthrie for a unique cinematic experience at one of the oldest drive in theaters in Oklahoma. They have been showing movies since 1950, and it was a filming location for the film "Twister."
This is an abandoned drive-in theater located in the tiny town of Three Way, Arizona a few miles south of Clifton. My wife and I were on the last leg of a camping trip through the White Mountains in eastern Arizona when we drove through this place. I left her in the car while I jumped the fence to shoot some photos. I loved seeing these vertical drawers for the film with some sort of projector case on top. Just an incredible place.
