I love this Dove commercial inside our life skills folder. It ends with the following quote, "No wonder our perception of beauty is distorted." The video could also be used with a lesson on false advertising or point of view.
I liked how this Dove commercial used different generations of women to show how we see ourselves. The older women are all worried about their features, playing with their faces to make themselves look "better," and not being happy with the outcomes, while the younger girls are all smiles and laughter when it comes to seeing themselves in the mirror. It kind of shows how over the years we become more involved with our looks than just being happy about being our unique selves.
