Crewelwork Jovana Rug. This vibrant floor covering features intricate embroidery that calls to mind ancient tapestry motifs. The crewel technique is an embroidery method synonymous with wool rugs and stitched designs.
Here, Janice has used Provence as a backdrop, and has stencilled a mandala shape onto the wall using Napoleonic Blue. On the tiles on the floor, she used Provence, Napoleonic Blue, Old White and Arles. The Moroccan-style side table features Henrietta, Provence, Napoleonic Blue and English Yellow, and the screen is Old Violet, Barcelona Orange, Emperor's Silk and English Yellow. The furniture has been finished in my Soft Clear Wax.
