Jessica Rimondi I like how the paint validates the emotions and expressions within this portrait, by the limited palette it structures the shapes and forms. Then to have a deeper depth of what is trying to be convey and incorporated by the use of the paint with the techniques being able to enforce the concepts. I would like to experiment with my own developments to have a source of vivid expression, to allow the painting to speak for itself and not have any narrative connotation towards it…
Self-Portrait's bridal collection "combines tradition with the contemporary sartorial attitudes of the women of the 1960s and '70s." Suspended from slim straps, the 'Penelope' gown is intricately made from white guipure lace finished with tiers of fluttering crepon. The grosgrain waistband adds subtle definition to the smallest part of your silhouette.
.This piece is very different, but still inspirational in the fact that having something missing of the woman but then through her face showing how she really feels, like a fear inside her head. This has given me an idea to use my text and word this way, where the missing part of the person is the words come out to say how that person is really feeling. #hiddenthoughts:
This image has been composed so Obama is in the center of the image with you looking slightly up towards him, making him the main focus of the image with a very high power look, but yet approachable with how he is sitting. I feel the lighting in this is a bit harsh and would have suited it better with a slighter softer lighting.
