How to read a crochet pattern, explained in easy to understand terminology, graphics to help. - I could use all the help I could get to READ patterns.

Could it be?  Finally online crochet instructions that can be understood?  With diagrams that can be understood?  This looks like a good place to start :)

The Humble Granny Square

One Color Granny Square --squares will be square, and the corners open and even. No matter how many rounds are worked, the square stays flat without ruffling or pulling in. The instructions are in written form and stitch drawings and stitch diagrams.

This pattern is my first one and I beg your pardon if you find a mistakes in it. And I will be appreciating if you inform me about them.
