I've met so many wonderful homeless people; women fleeing abuse, young adults that were orphans and had no one to teach them how to budget, families whose house burnt down, etc. Being homeless is shameful and now to criminalize it is downright heartless.
Pruitt–Igoe was a large urban housing project first occupied in 1954 in the U.S. city of St. Louis, Missouri. Living conditions in Pruitt–Igoe began to decline soon after its completion in 1956. By the late 1960s, the complex had become internationally infamous for its poverty, crime, and segregation. Its 33 buildings were demolished with explosives in the mid-1970s, and the project has become an icon of urban renewal and public-policy planning failure.
#AIN I've been listening to a lot of true crime podcasts recently and quite honestly I am shocked at the horrific nature of some human beings. Of course I know that people can be awful, but sometimes you just don't realise how awful they can be. Support the #AIN campaign and help convince the Canadian government to open an inquiry for the murdered women and their families. Even if it comes up with nothing at least it was taken seriously and these womens voices heard.
